Dear Mother
by Dr. T. Ashok Chakravarthy
Old age that has now befallen
Almost carved you like a skeleton,
Neither able to move nor walk
Your deep-sunk silent eyes talk;
Desperation perhaps awaits death
To rid of this inexplicable wrath
But my dear and dearest mother
The ultimate stirs an intense fear
Yes, I cannot visualize any future
God! Stake my life for mother dear.

Bitter Truth
by Dr. T. Ashok Chakravarthy
Like mirages in a dreary desert
Illusions, spell-bind our thoughts,
Fickle mind gets simply trapped,
Till the life’s precious glow gets dim.
Reality dawns before the ultimate
Drowning you in the mire of gloom.
Arise and awake, O youthful hearts
Truth looks bitter before unfolding.
Let wisdom prevail to liberate self,
Break the shackles once and for all.
